If I was going to only use my nitrous set up on the occasional weekend, would it be a good idea to get the MSD 6A with the Adjustable timing control? I don’t want to have to keep my car a few degrees retarded all the time so, do you know what I should do instead?

    Re: Ignition

No, you'll need the MSD DIS 4 ignition control module. The MSD 6A and 6AL are only for distributor ignition systems.

Just FYI, I only lost 1.2 rwhp from my N/A tune to my nitrous tune. :)

        Re: Ignition

I dunno, I'll look into it and let ya know tomorrow. Gotta remember, our cars have distributorless ignition systems so we are limited to what kind of aftermarket ignition things we can upgrade to.

Can you provide a link to this timing tuner? I browsed HSW's website and found a couple of things, but I want to know exactly what you are looking at before I give you more info on it.

A 75 wet you won't have to worry to much about your timing yet. I ran the 75 shot on stock tune for a year.

Now when you are ready for a 150, you will most definately need to pull some timing.

for ht cost of the DIS-4 you can get HPtuners and it won't leave you stranded on the highway
