i have a 96 rs convertible swapped out enigne at 104000 miles with a built one i got off of a guy around here
this is what is done to it:
-stock block bored 40 over
-custom made and blueprinted diamond racing forged pistons with valve reliefs
-sealed power piston rings
-diamond racing forged wrist pins
-512/520 lift comp cams
-comp cams roller lifters
-comp cams valve springs to match cam
-arp rod bolts
- ported and polished upper and lower intake
-mild head porting with 5 angle valve job
-msd coils
-stock lt1 fuel injectors
-ceramic coated pacesetter headers with y pipe and high flo cat
-new oil pump and timing chain
-ngk spark plugs i think he said one degree colder
-8.8mm 300+ race wires
-cryo treates crank/pushrods/connecting rods/pistons
-duralast gold alternator & starter
-fel pro gaskets
compression is 9.7 to 1

so would this engine be good for nitrous as is or would i have to do some more modifications, any input would be appreciated

bored 40 over, eeks, I would be worried spraying that engine. Is it sleeved?

With those forged internals, I think you'll be okay, but as 97RS4life said, your cylinder walls are pretty thin now.

I'd spray it though. Thats just me :D

Also do you have Hptuners for the tuning, I see your running24lb injectors and cam? Might need to get it tuned.

I've never heard of someone have a sleeved v6 so I dont know what to tell ya.

i don't know what it runs, haven't been to the track plus the trans needs a rebuild bad

If the tranny needs rebuilt, dont even bother with nitrous until its been rebuilt.

i have the rebuild kit to hold 450 to 500 i got from udlose98. i just have to put it in. then i am good with the trans

Well..... it seems like you have a decent engine there.... what is the history of this engine?

What is your level of ability with cars?

The cylinder walls are pretty slim... I might be nervous.

What kind of tuning has been done?

it was rebuilt right before i got it

no tuning yet i have to get a 97 pcm
also have to redo the trans and get a different stall converter

i have medium car knowledge do most things by myself or with friends or my brother who is pretty much a cert mechanic
