stealth installs?

Alright, I have had my soleniods and everything in plain site for awhile and now I think I want to try and clean up the engine bay from all the wires and such for shows next year. Anybody have some slick stealth installs of their kit under the hood? I am thinking I am going to hide the stuff in the front bumper by the radiator or something.

Not really going for total stealth since my wet nozzle will still be visible and the big ol bottle between the seats isn't hiding anytime soon, but clean installs with things tuck in other areas.

I dont have any pics, but the best place I've seen is between the radiator support and bumbper as you already said.

yea here is a pic of a dry kit, you can see the line and such tucked by the radiator. Solenoid is hidden in the pic though.



I found a crazy ls1 with a dry kit. Has two dry nozzles and you would never know from looking in the engine bay.

Yeah, I've seen that guy's car on LS1tech. He didn a reeeeeally good job of hiding everthing. Very good, clean install.

A nice sports bag, or a jacket thrown over the bottle and you would be suprised how easy it is to hide. I use to do that just to keep it cool in the summer, and to keep it out of sight. I still like my switches in the ashtray, especially if you dont smoke, its a good easy way to hide all the swiches you will ever need.

See here is my current engine bay, see how those solenoids are right out in the open and not hidden at all? lol

I was reading a few months ago about doing this. I had one site saved that had a very nice install. I'll see if I can find it again for you. Anyways, he had his solenoids hidden in the fender (you know how oyu can take the grey peices off of the bottom, and see up into the fender. He put the solenoids there). Then, he ran the lines and had them mounted on the underside of the intake (I believe it was a 98+ car, since I recall a lid). I'm guessing he had no trouble spraying before the MAF. And then he had all the wiring and lines running with existing lines, so you never noticed them. The only way you noticed it was if you took the lid off and looked for it.

Dry kits are WAY more easier to hide..... the wet kits are a PITA.

The only thing that may be visible on a dry kit would be the FPSS.

Wet kit....well, if you made a plate and plopped it in between the upper and lower intake manifold...and had the fuel/ nitrous feed lines enter in between the firewall and back of the engine block..... then you might be able to get away with it.
