I recommend getting a dyno tune to adjust your timing and air/fuel ratio.

then I wouldn't worry about the window switch. Spraying through the gears is what I do and window switches are mainly for the manual guys so they don't hit the rev limiter or miss a shift while the spray is going. Skip the window switch

with a 50 or 75 shot I wouldn't worry about doing this, but it doesn't hurt and you would gain a few more horse, but if the money isn't there yet then this can wait till you approach the 100 shot arena

well the tune I will probably go with because there is a guy here in Peoria who does the dyno tuned for like $275 and hour, so I think it might just be worth it. But thanks for the info about the window switch!

                anyone ever try this thing...

The "N2O ARM" switch, is that for your remote bottle opener, or is it for something else?

that controls all your nitrous things. You would use that instead of the switches in the kit for the arming switch, purge button and such. neat setup that goes into a pillar gauge pod

$275 an hour!!?? Thats waaaaay overpriced bro, I paid $100 an hour and that was from a really good tuner. I forgot you were only going with a 50-75 shot so tuning is a good thing, but not a necessity. I almost guarentee you will bump up to a 100 shot without too much delay though ;)

If you are going with a wet kit, I personally would still get a window switch to prevent from spraying below 3000 rpms and puddling....then backfiring. Its cheap insurance from spending $200+ dollars to fix the damage caused by a backfire. It happened to me. Just my .02 :)

well that is interesting. That is ralley the only dyno around here I think. I had planned on just letting them install the thing and then tune it when they were done. But I dont know now. I had planned on letting them put in my LSD and gears, shocks and eibach springs, and the nitrous all about the same time or atleast over several days. Because I have all this stuff sitting around and have not put it all in yet!

Re: Thinking about jumping to the next step...

man install the stuff yourself. That is how you learn and can take more pride in doing things yourself. I have learned so much just from getting under the car and picking away at it. Nitrous installs are tough at all.

I don't use a window switch, I just flip the activation switch as soon as I am over 3k and go. This prevents me from spraying under 3k. Much cheaper then buying a window switch that can be like 100-200 dollars

Yeah, I wouldnt pay to have nitrous installed. I knew NOTHING about wiring and electronics when I got my kit, but I took my time, read the instructions and did a lot of research and my install wasnt hard at all (and I have lots of accessories too :D)

Basically, If I can do it, you can do it

The ZEX 82021 kit (I believe that is the one he is selling) is a great system. I've been running it for two years now and I haven't had any problems. The "smart" technology means it has a built in TPS/WOT switch. Another great thing about the system is that it will make sure that if the bottle pressure is low it will compensate.

I run an MSD RPM switch as well. You have to wire it all up using relays but once the wiring is done, the system is very rewarding and safe.
