I'd been toying with this idea for a while.
Today in Walmart's automotive section, I spied something that will make our lives a lot easier and will let us see our pressure gauges for our bottles, up front, without having to spend hundreds on a digital pressure sensor system. Heres what I saw.
This is a wireless back up camera.
It is quick and easy to install and costs a mere 96 dollars at your local walmart.
Today, using a clear medicine bottle and some zip ties, I mounted the camera to the medicine bottle, then cut the bottom of the bottle out, and ziptied it to my pressure gauge that is currently on my nitrous bottle. I ran some power to the camera and screen and mounted the screen upfront. The results were amazing. The picture was in focus and I could read my bottle pressure. Cost is about 100 bucks on top of the cost of the on bottle pressure gauge.
I think this mod will serve the community well, and will save lots of money. I'm still toying with the mounting of the camera. I might use a film canister and install some led lights so that the picture is bright and illuminated. I plan on wiring everything to my arm switch.
