I been looking at my hsw kit for a while and it came with instructions and it looks very simple. Should I pay 375 for installation or do it myself. I will be asking questions in this thread If I decide to

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
do it yourself, they are really easy to install, I have installed about 4-5 kits already. Slowest part is the wiring.
Just ask here if you have any questions and we will help you along. Use the $375 on other mods. :)

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
someone should do a video of them installing nitrous on there car and we could use it. I really wanna install this harris speed kit myself but I just don't have the knowledge and balls to do it. Does anyone have pictures of thier hsw or any nos kit installed on our cars.
I have more than enough time this weekend to install it.
Where should I drill a hole exactly on the intake I have a whisper lid

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
Okay I think I have everything almost wired up on my hsw kit but the only thing I have left is a thick red long wire a thin red long wire and a blue long wire I am guessing some of them goes to the toggle switch since I only have the black ground wire hooked up on the toggle switch.
I must say this really isn't to bad plus I have the whole weekend and not gonna pay 375$ please feel free to help and add suggestions

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
I think I figured it out the extra thick wire can be added on to the amp fuse making it longer for it to reach the battery.
The blue long wire was used for the middle wot switch and the middle toggle switch labeled acc
Last I used the thin long red wire for the power and I guess I gotta hook it up to a fuse with 12 volts whatever that means.
Tommorrow I will install the wot switch inside the engine and install the bottle inside the spare tire area then I will do the intake drilling.
Im gonna take my time with this because all I have is time

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
sounds like you are getting it figured out pretty good. Is it a dry or wet kit?

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
okay I mounted my bottle in the spare tire area but I have it standing up will this be a problem and will it be okay for me to run the feed line through the little hole in the spare tire area or how should I run the feed line

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
don't have it standing straight up, knob of bottle should face the front of the car with label facing up on the side of the bottle. Bottle should have a slight angle to it. Else when the bottle is getting low you might not syphon it up correctly. Some people have mounted them up, and just made sure the syphon tube is towards the rear of the bottle
A really nice bracket for the spare tire area can be bought at 860performance.com for like $50 and it is a really clean install
You can run the feed line out that hole just fine, better than in the cab.

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
Okay I am ready to run the feedline to the engine and drill a hole in my whisper lid but where exactly do I drill the hole a picture would be nice. I have a small torch maybe I could burn a hole instead of drilling and damaging the whole whisper lid

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
Its a hsw dry kit not sure which angle but I have the bottle standing straight up in the spare tire area and from watching the cold fusion video and calling nitrous shops they say its not a problem long as the bottle isn't upside down.
I just wanna run the feed line through the hole in the spare tire area to the engine bay then burn a hole in my whisper lid but Im just not sure where to burn the hole exactly with the torch.
My car is a 98 v6 I dont wanna drill a hole because Im scared of cracking my whisper lid so I just wanna use the torch that I heated up the wires with.

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous
well depending on the angle spray pattern of the nozzle, that will play a key role in finding the sweet spot for your nozzle placement. You want the MAF to be able to pick it up correctly, and also mix with the air coming in.
Take a pic of your nozzle end and we can tell what it is
