Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous

I will do the wot switch sometime this week coming up.

I have the bottle mounted standing up in the spare tire area most of all the wires are hooked up I got the feedline hooked up I just gotta run it the nitrous soleniod.

I drilled a hole in my whisper lid and installed the nozzel and managed to get both of the straps that holds the whisper lid in place to stay down finally.

I got a question where do you guys run the toggle switch red wire at it says something about its supposed to be ran to 12 volts. Should I run this to a fuse in my fuse box or what Im confused on this part

Another thing it says the the top part of the wot switch shouldn't be used My question is why is it there then it dosen't even say to use the top part as a groun\d or nothing what is the top part for exactly

I understand that Im gonna have to change my spark plugs so can someone point me in the right direction

I figure I might aswel buy them now and install them while Im installing everything else.

Is there any little small things that I need to buy for the nitrous kit while Im spending money and shopping on ebay

I know about the purge kit bottle heater and window switch
do I need a blowdown tube if my kit is installed in my spare tire area

Blowdown tube is needed if racing at the track

Spark plugs, get NGK TR6 plugs

WOT switch should have two wires connected to it. One comes from your relay, the other goes to your middle post on your switch.

Switch should be wired to a keyed power source, a good place to tap is the fuse panel by the drivers door or tap into a wire for the cig lighter

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous

Here's how my wot switch is hooked up. I have a 98 too, so yours should be very similar.

And here's what my switch looks like.

Those plugs are what you want, but it'll save you time and money (on shipping) to go to a local autoparts store and buy them. Less than $2 a piece.

Thats a common occurance when you swap in a hi flow cat. Get one of these: http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...=179&catid=107

That will be for your POST cat O2 sensor. That'll take care of that problem :)

Re: Does anyone wanna help me install nitrous

are these spark plugs hard to install and the one I found on ebay had a set of 8 for 13 bucks plus 7 dollars shipping in handling. Some guy saw my nitrous kit and told me I would always have to change my spark plugs thats why I went for the large quantity of spark plugs but he could be wrong

Spark plugs are a b1tch to change if you have stock exhaust manifolds. And yes you should change them fairly often. I change mine about every 3rd bottle fill.

I usually change my plugs once a season, sometimes twice

and just how many spark plugs do I have sorry about all the questions but I have been an appearance guy so up until me installing this nitrous kit I just focused on my cars appearance and anything else I would pay someone else to do but 375 for installing this kit is rediculous.

is it okay to wire the arming switch to any fuse in my fuse box.

The thing that Im curious about my nitrous kit is how will it work and what I mean buy this is I have a flick toggle switch and when I hit the toggle switch to arm the nitrous am I supposed to hurry up and flick it back off and what happens if I arm the nitrous and have to step on the brakes.

Look for the 20 amp accessory fuse, its your best bet.

Your arm switch just turns on the system, the nitrous should not actually hit until you are at WOT.

You can have the nitrous armed all day long, but as long as your foot isnt all the way to the floor then it wont spray.
