  • Need Help! Clueless!

Ok I have aquired an Edelbrock nitrous system from a friend that had a cobra mustang. I believe his stang was shooting a 100 shot.

It is a dry kit, and has 2 solenoids, and a purge kit, WOT switch.

im trying to figure out a few things.

I have a 96 firebird with 120,000 miles on it. 3800 series II. Aftermarket Spectre intake, and flowmaster exhaust with the catalitic converter cut out.

How much spray can i run in this car without blowing myself or my engine up.
also where the hell would the jets be on this nitrous kit so i can change them. and what size should i change them to. Also ive been reading about these dry kits and it says i need to put a jet on the fuel side of the car? im kinda confused. but thats where you guys come in. please give me some help ive tried talking to local "nitrous pros" and they dont know what they are talking about, because they cant tell me anything about what i want to know.

    please help...asap...

As long as your car is well maintained, you can pull off 100 pretty easily. Fresh NGK TR-6 plugs, and good fuel is the key. Throw in some 100 octane unleaded if you can find it, if not, 93 will get the job done.

As far as the fuel side stuff, if it's set up like the NOS 5175 LT-1 kit, you don't really need the fuel side stuff. Just remove anything related to that. The main jet should be right at the nozzle. Let me know if you have any other questions.

^^ That thread will answer most of your questions.

As for the fuel jet on a dry kit, the NOS 5175 comes with a 42 bypass jet so that shouldnt be an issue. Look in the stickies for instructions on how to install that kit, its really easy.
