So some of you have probably saw the post of my WET zex kit and remember how I said I was gonna wait and put it on a V8, well it got to me so I hooked it up on my sixxer. Well my question is, even though I am running the wet zex box, should I stick with it, or should I do a dry shot? I plan on starting with a 50 shot and moving up to a 75. I know that the MAF will handle this through a dry shot no problem, and I wont have to upgrade injectors or use an inline fuel pump. Since I am never planning on going over a 75, would it make sense for me to run it dry just so that I wont have to worry about the fuel solenoid going out and killing my motor? Or should I stick with the wet, get some nitrous and fuel filters, and just manage and keep check on the solenoid box every so often. I think that if I do a wet, it will keep wear from my injectors. Just looking for any opinions.

Re: Hooked it up...
stick with the wet, your reasons for trying to talk yourself into dry are misinformed information and things you have no reason worrying about.
Only benefit of going dry is some safety from fuel puddling and backfiring. Since you are sticking to 75 and less, then you are not likely going to have any backfire issues, once you get to 100+ then the backfires start playing a factor.

Re: Hooked it up...
thanks for the reply. I have the ZEX wet box, I have read that they are nothing but trouble.....is this true? If I were to use a window switch, could I get one that at 3000 RPMS sends 12 volts to the zex box, and then the zex box sprays at WOT.... everyone says that it is a pain to wire a window switch to one, seems to me like it would be pretty easy.

Re: Hooked it up...
Can you get rid of the zex box all together?, the way im running is through a dual stage window switch that has a wot switch. So basicly i hook stage one up to my noids, a wire to my coils for tach info, and a wire to my throttle position sensor. and it works great 140 bucks from boost performance.
The window switch i have is actually from nitrousoutlet.com and is a digital dual stage.

Re: Hooked it up...
Ok So today I hooked up my ZEX box to my green TPS wire, programmed it and it worked good, started up and sprayed some fuel into a bottle of water, all worked. Started up the car later on to leave work and floored it , the car hung at around 15-2000 rpms and the reduced engine power light came on. I un hooked the zex box from the green wire and the car did fine. There wasnt even power or ground on the zex box, so for some reason the white wire was taking power from the TPS wire I believe and caused it not to work, my gas pedel would not respond at all. What would.cause this?

Re: Hooked it up...
Not sure what the green wire on ur zex box is supposed to do (maybe WOT). but the middle wire on ur TPS is the signal wire. and it is meant to be hooked up to a digital WOT switch. so what i think is happening is that the green wire is meant to be hooked up to a wot switch not the TPS. probably draining current from the tps somehow. im not an expert on this, but that would be my assumtion.

Re: Hooked it up...
No dude, lol, the zex box I have has a BUILT IN WOT switch. Thats what the white wire is on the zex box, it is not green, the green wire I speak of is the TPS #1 signal wire on the TPS, the 0-5 volt one. There is a TPS #2 which is alos a signal wire that is purple, but it reads 5-0 volts. Im thinking maybe a bad ground on that zex box, imma look over it tomorrow. ANyone else had this problem?Last edited by 38camaro302; 06-27-2007, 12:57 AM.
