  • anyone else running 36lb injectors w/ wet shot

I have 36lb injectors, I have been running a .055 nitrous jet and a .024 fuel jet, it puts my A/F around 11.5 to 11.8. I run N/A around 12.6 to 13.0 A/F. I just ran a .061 jet with a .028 fuel jet and I'm seeing my A/F go to high 10's to low 11"s A/F. According to nitrous calculators I should be running a .034 fuel jet with the .061. I don't know why it is running so rich, I checked my bottle opener, check my nitrous filter, and my PSI on my nitrous is 1100psi drops to 1050's after I run it. I also run a walbro high pressure 255. Is it because of my 36lb injectors flowing more?,so I don't need a bigger fuel jet? I still see no KR running 23 deg. of timing with the .055 jet and .061 jet. I just don't want to blow up my engine over looking something. Everything on my system is working msd window switch, wot switch, fuel pressure is fine. Is there anyone else using 36lb injectors with their wet kits so I can compare? Thanks for any suggestions, Steve

you using hptuners to tune for the injectors?

What does your injector table look like?

I have hp tuners, since taking the powerdyne off, I tuned it N/A from 13.0 going down to 12.6 A/F. My injector duty cyl. is around 52 %.

      32 is 0 kpa and 34.90 is 100 kpa

I believe you're running rich because of your injector table. It looks very similar to a stock 36# GTP injector table. It is setup to increase fuel in the higher RPMs due to a S/C setup, and then with your nitrous setup trying to add more fuel that would increase it even more.

I would try making the injector table flatter somewhat like N/A and see if you are lacking fuel anywhere like that (which will be doubtful being 36#ers) and then add a small shot of Nitrous on top of the flat table and let the kit take care of the fuel it needs. Log it, make sure you've got enough fuel which I'm betting you will and move the shot up increasing fuel where needed if any. Should run a lot better!

Re: anyone else running 36lb injectors w/ wet shot

I know my N/A tune is good , my LT trims are where they should(usually in the neg. or in they +2)I was just making sure, since my fuel jet sizes don't add up on any nitrous jet calculators. So I should be good as long as I watch my A/F and KR? The VS cam really seems to like the nitrous. I have no wheel spin either, with the 275 BFG's in the rear and my suspension tuned in. It is hard for me to gauge how big of shot I should push it to, without blowing something up. What limit do you guys think with the VS cam, forged pistons, mildly ported intakes/heads,etc. I should push it too? The only thing stock on the engine are the stock springs/ retainers on the heads. Which I have comp 105's springs and mild steel retainers stitting in the garage with a spare set of heads I'm going to have done ( ported/ polished). I was going to keep upping the shot size until I reached around a .072 jet which would be 200 hp shot at the wheels. What do you think?
