Well, since I can no longer find me a powerdyne... I've been yet reading up again on Nitrous.. I year or so ago I started reading up on it, and said naaa... I'll just wait until I can get a supercharger... So, now when I had the money to get the charger... They quite making it... Figures...Oo So I have read and read and read post after post after post about Nitrous... So I just want to make sure I have everything 100% clear.
I have decided to go with the Dry kit, since I don't want my engine to go up in flames if I did get a wet kit and and it pools up... If the try backfires, I'll be out a MAF and intake. I'll probably be running at max 75 shot, since it seems that 25shot jump to 100, makes a world of difference on stock fuel pumps. Here is what I have done to my car, hopefully I won't leave out anything.
I have done the free intake mod
removed the throttle screen
160 thermy
1.8 slp roller rockers
CIA headers
3" exhaust from Y-pipe back
off road Cat(almost no cat really)
3.73 gears
G-force trans
SpecII clutch
3" driveshaft
custom mail tune, which i will have to tell them to tune it for Nitrous now, instead of a 93 advance tune
New parts that I have ordered and are coming in.
BBK inline pump
TA Hogs head cover from Thunder Racing
Bilstein Heavy Duty Shock and Struts
Power slot brake and rotor kit
NGK plugs 4177
MSD Coil packs
here are the gauges that I bought:
Nexus Plug-n-run
temp.
boost(will this still work? just for kicks and giggles with nitrous)
fuel pressure
air fuel ratio
I think that is everything, I'm sure I left something out, I always do...
So, the NOS 5175 kit comes with everything I need except a windows switch correct? So it comes with a fuel pressure cut off and a WOT switch?
I'm looking on Thunderracing.com and i'm looking at the accessories, this is what I'm going to get, let me know if I'm leaving something out...
25-05175 NOS Nitrous System for 1993-1995 3.4l V6 Camaro/Firebird $549.99
25-14169 NOS Pressure Controlled Automatic Bottle Heater, 10lb & 15lb bottles $249.99
25-15879 NOS RPM Activated Switch $194.99
25-15651 NOS Waterproof Remote Push Button $54.99 (what is this?)
27-NK001 BMR #4 Nitrous Quick Change Knob $49.95
From summit--->ATM-7174 Gauge, C2, Nitrous Pressure, 0-1,600 psi, 2 1/16 in., Analog, Electrical, $199.95
So is that everything, or have I left something out??? Or have a listed something that will already come with the kit???
Ok, so with all that, I really hope I will be able to run 75 shot safe.
Current car miles is 100,000 miles, I only drive it on weekends if it's nice outside. hmmm.. oohh yeah... here is one question I have yet found a comment on when I was searching...
I have problems shifting from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd... what I mean is... When I get on it, and shift from 1st to 2nd, sometimes it will not go in 2nd and I will have to press the clutch in again, and then it goes right in... my question is... will that be a bad thing with nitrous.... Because sometimes I press the gas before I realize it did not go into gear and the engine revs... so will that be a big problem with nitrous?
I thinik that is all my questions.... I'll have to read over my post and set and think to make sure I didn't leave anything out....
So, I guess I have crossed over to the Nitrous side... :)
Edited... ---> I also had bought a breather for the valve cover, to replace the oil fill lid... Were I was going to buy the supercharger, would it be ok to put it on there and use it with nitrous? :)
Thanks for any help you can give,
Jeff
