  • How to run feed line from spare tire area

I am finally getting around to installing my feed line from my spare tire area and I don't have a jack to lift the car is this an easy job to do without the car in the air.

I have everything hooked up correctly and I just installed my dual purge kit so now I just gotta run the feed line from my spare tire area to the engine bay. Does anyone have any pictures for me or advice so I can do this tommorrow.

go through the hole in the spare tire area with the grommet in it. then just ziptie it to things under the car. I ran mine along the same route as the fuel line on the drivers side, but my bottle is between the back seats.

I ran my feed line while in a parking lot at a buddies apartment, not to bad and I have ground effects that make it even lower

okay I have a million zip ties so thats not a problem I just don't want the feedline to hit anything that moves under the car and rupture so I will be doing this first thing in the morning

yea just look under and find areas to feed it through and such. Then ziptie it to keep it off the ground and you will be fine.

okay I ran the line and everything came out good but my only problem since I installed my electric cutout there is a little rattling when I have the cutout closed and when its opened it goes away.

At first I thought it was the feedline hitting the exhaust but it wasn't that its the freaking electric cutout and it only makes noise when its closed I think its the cap because when I push on it the rattling sound goes away. Has anyone had a problem with their electric cutout doing this.

On the plus side it does feel nice to be able to control my exhaust sound while I am inside of the car I love this but I would like to solve this little minor rattling problem so any suggestions would help

All I have to do is get the bottle filled and I am ready. But where do I get the bottle filled in houston people have been telling me about speed shops but those are just too far away for me. You have any ideas where places you can buy nitrous like welding shops or something

check nitrousexpress.com or holley.com for nitrous dealers.

usually costs 4-5 bucks a lb.

I go to a local engine building shop for mine, until I have some money to buy my own refill station.

Some welding places will do it as well for ya

like 97rs4life said, some welding shops will do it for ya. Ask around. Every once in a while you'll find a paintball shop that carries it to. Idk why, but they do.

As for the cut-out rattling, are you sure it's closed all the way?

actually I think its closed too much because it kinda has a slight tilt and when I touch the tilt the little rattling goes away.

Re: How to run feed line from spare tire area

I will start looking around for local nitrous suppliers tomorrow but my concern now is this dang electric cutout its scrapping the concrete when I drive and hit a bump. It never did that before but I had to add an adapter and thats the problem it gave me less ground clearance so I gotta figure out a way around this before I lose my whole exhaust and cause way more damage than I can pay for

Just throwing this out there, it's really easy to mount your nitrous line in the car. Just go down the passenger side under the plastic to the floor, unscrew the plastic cover around the door frame, run the line under the carpet, up behind the glovebox there is an empty rubber grommet, remove the pcm, pull the line through to the engine. Saves ALOT of wear and tear on the line.

wear and tear on a stainless steel line? Never heard of anyone having issues under the car. I have had mine outside of the car for 4 years and it looks like new yet. And for my own personal safety I would prefer it outside of the car as much as possible in case there is a leak in the line somewhere....

also some people have stereo wires going along your path and having that ss line running side by side with the stereo lines would not be a great idea.

but yes it is possible to run it through the car as well
