    A '78 with a 400 doesn't need Nitrous to run 8's. V8+ cam, intake, headers, forged 10:1 pistons, p&p, ...8's
2002 Navy Blue Metallic Blue Firebird A4
Pure stock (Hey, just bought it 11/07)

Please, the car was was <$1000 because the car was in need of an engine... 1988 Prices: Rebuild Kit, junkyard motor, forged TRW 10:1 pistons, ARP rod bolts, <$1000 total. Edelbrock alum intake, Cyclone Headers... straight pipes, <$400. Sticky tires, factory posi unit. We are talking 8's in the 1/8th here, not the 1/4... Not everyone just throws $$$ at it to make it go fast.

Ummm, never seen an industrial engine with an oil pressure switch, huh?

You really have something to prove here dont ya? LOL

1988??? hahahahahaha You realize that was 20 years ago??!!

You keep talking about spending a lot of money to get into the 8's in the 1/8 (which btw has nothing to do with this thread), you realize your in the NITROUS SECTION...the cheapest horsepower available right? LOL

Who's throwing money at anything here? Because he suggested a WB and HP Tuners for a tune? Did you read the whole thread? The OP was looking to be as safe as possible because its his DD so ssms5411 suggested a few things to keep him safe.

Keep the V8 crap out of this thread and off the board. Your 78 mullet mobile has nothing to do with this thread. "ZOMG!! A 78 with a built 400 ran 8's back in 1988!!! OMG OMG OMG!! Who cares? If the OP wanted to mod a V8, he would have bought one. Quit being a tool and leave this board troll

This thread is wayyyy off topic. 02camaro3800, Im sorry that your thread turned to this. If you have any other specific questions, make a new thread or PM us. Good luck with your car, keep us updated on it :)
