me and my friend are trying to figure the window switch out it will hit in first gear but when it shifts to second it wont hit what is a gear lock out i hear about it but dont know what it is on my instructions it says,
that the rpm must drop 200 rpm below the activation point to turn the circuit off.conversely ,the rpm must drop 200 rpm below the deactivation point in order to turn the back on,thanks

How did you wire it up, mine is set on 1 then 3200 on and 5900 off , I took the the wire from the cam sensor for the rpms. If your is working correctly when your car is on it should be reading yoour idle speed, like mine is 900 rpms. When you first start the car mine shows what settings it is on then goes into showing idle speed.

we wired it to the number pin 54 on top ecu for the tach and we put the settings on the switch to 6 cause if we put it on any other number it would not have the same idle as what my tach says and when i start the car turn the arming switch on the window switch says all my setting and then reads my idle about 800 rpm sound right?

        Re: msd digital window switch

I think the msd is pulling too much power from the pcm and shutting it off, try setting it at one and find a stronger source for tach. Either on the cam sensor or some use a wire on the coil pack harness.

wait a sec when you hook up the red wire(12v wire) on the window switch do i hook it to the #30 on the relay or do i hook it to the wot switch cause i hooked it the wot switch?cause it need a 12v source at all times right.

                  Re: msd digital window switch

Mines a 96' but I wouldn't think they would change the wiring, looking at the sensor directly on there are 3 wires (mine are so old I can't make out the color) I taped off the wire on the left hand side of the connector looking straight at it . I used some cutters very carefully making the wire shown then used a blue wire tap(the ones you press on the clamp the plastic peice back over. I made the wire shown because it wasn't getting a good contact and started to cut out. Good luck.

The red wire on the window switch should be hooked to a switched 12V source. Hook it to something that is ON with ignition.

I don't have F Quick so I can't view it, as long as you have a ground, power and signal wire you should be fine.

Can't view it either, but the power source would do better connected to a separate, fused ignition source. If it's running on the same circuit as your master switch and solenoids, then it could possibly be pulling too much amperage (although the window switch doesn't pull much).
