how exactly does a electric fuel pump hook up

My question is if I get one of these will I have to drop my gas tank like I would with the walbro fuel pump I am considering getting one of these things if I don't have to drop the gas tank. I need the best msd electric fuel pump but I don't know which one to get can someone provide a link for me and give me some insight on how to hook it up

search for in-line pump, booster pump, or boost-a-pump. All of those go inline and up the FP that way. Although, dropping the tank and putting in a walbro would be your best bet.

o ya, totally forgot about the trap-door method. We just dropped the tank on my bro's 3rd gen; had it all done, new pump in, etc etc in one night (~4hrs, IIRC), so it's not as hard as people make it seem if you have the right tools.

yeah my problem with that is my nitrous botle is mounted back there and the black carpet is all glued down and I hate to pull it up I might just drop the tank one more time and be done with it. It just cost money for me since I don't have the tools and last time my mechanic charged me 250 because I had a hole in my gas tank that he rewelded I swore I wouldn't do this again know look at me thats why I was considering the external pump

i dropped my tank then later had a problem with the fuel line in the tank. which led me to the correct and easy method with use of a die grinder

I wouldn't even mess with a inline fuel pump, waste of money. I would just buy the Walbro 255, they even have a high flow version of the 255(ebay for something like $110 shipped. Trap door method is the best way to go for changing pumps. I did mine and made a cover out of 3 or 4 layers of dead mat and taped it down. Best way to go. Less time and money.

like I said my nitrous bottle is directly in that area and is bolted down and the carpet is glued down thats why the inline pump is something I wanna do 1dangerousv6 has ran up to 175 shots of nitrous on his car with a inline pump so how is it a waste of money. I simply just asked how to hook up the inline pump and still no answers

it goes inline...pretty self explanatory from the title of it. You put it inline on your fuel line running to the engine. It pulls the fuel to bump the psi up. Then you have to either wire a switch to turn it on each time you are going to use the nitrous or hardwire it in to turn on everytime your key is turned on.

thats not a problem I could always just turn it on soon as I turn my heater on for my nitrous Im still confused though does this pump mount inside the engine bay or under the car Im really serious I don't know

under the car, somewhere along the fuel lines. IIRC, it doesn't really matter where.
