ok, I've been reading this forum for a while. I think I am ready to get sprayed. A local guy, don't know him, is selling a Zex universal Kit. He says he has all the hoses, wires, and bottle and the Nitrous Manag. Unit. All for $175.00 Think its worth it, since it is used? Anything I should be worried about with getting a used kit? Do the bottles need to be replaced after a certian amount of time?
That's a pretty good deal. If you're not looking for anything big and want the install to be simple, then Zex is the way to go. Just make sure everything's there; unit, nozzle, jets, hoses, bottle, relay, etc etc. I paid $300 for my kit, but it's for larger shots (capable of 250+ shots), so I'd definitely look into that kit for $175. As for bottles, they do go bad; not too often though, from what I've seen.
Well, looks like the guy is not going to be selling it... atleast not without the car. Emaile him saying I would check it out, and I have the cash, but didn't hear anything back. Ended up checking craigslist again, and he posted the car it is in, but says the nitrous is in it, and will come with it. So I am taking it as, not being parted out of the car, like the first posting saying he had just that for sale. Maybe I will check dynotunesales on ebay. I always see them with some kits pretty cheap.
dyno tune does sell kits for relatively cheap and i hear they have good stuff. i would check out their web site if i were you dynotunenitrous.com(prices may vary on ebay) also like rad racer said zex is a good way to go for a smaller shot and simplicity. i have a zex dry kit i got form zzperformance for $450 and it works great and its easy to set up as well. good luck with what ever you choose be sure to post any questions.
