put an inline pump in a 70's ford pickup...easy enough...cut the line, insert pump, wire pump. good to go, easy ****. but i dont think our cars have just one line....so i have no clue...sorry man.

Re: how to hook up inline walbro fuel pump

I guess I'd have to crawl under our cars and look where everything runs. But what I did on the truck was to just drill a hole or 2 in the frame and bolt it to the frame. The pump I had came with a clamp type mounting bracket that went around the pump. So i bolted that to the frame. And I can't really help you on the wiring I guess...on the truck the old fuel pump was cam driven. So wiring the new one in was just finding a open fuse slot that had power when the key was on...not all the time...and wiring it into there. If you want to wire it into the existing wiring i just have no clue.

              Not sure on this....

But I'm pretty sure you want to mount it after the Fuel filter, to keep all of the crap out of it.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

should just have an arrow on it showing which way flow goes....every inline pump i have seen has one....

Re: how to hook up inline walbro fuel pump

the arrow should point to the front of the vehicle. the pump doesnt really suck from the tank...more of a push it to the front harder type thing....the inline pumps i have dealt with recommend that you mount it as close to the fuel tank as possible with the arrow pointing the direction the fuel flows (therefore the arrow points towards the front). also its best to mount them horizontally.

thank you sir so that means the part where wires connects points towards the vehicle I really made this harder than it was but know from looking under my camaro and looking at the fuel line it dosent look like it will fit in the fuel hose the ends on the electric fuel pump is to wide for the fuel line to go inside it.

Another problem Im having is while im doing all this Im trying to change my fuel filter and can't seem to get that little bolt off

maybe somebody else that knows might say something here...but i dont think it will hurt to just splice in some larger fuel line to connect your pump...just get some adapters to go from 3/8ths or whatever it is to a larger size...then back down....also you can just attach the fuel tank side and wire it before you connect the other side of the pump, turn the key on, and make sure its going to work

yeah maybe I can find some small inlets that screw on the inline fuel pump from o reilly because the ones that came with pump I bought are just to wide for my fuel lines to go inside them
