Does anyone here run nitrous and turbo, if so how safe is it and what mods do you have?

            Re: Nitrous and turbo

I run 12 psi and a 50 shot. I will soon be bumping up to 15 psi and a 75 shot once I install my 43.5 fuel injectors and retune it.

            <---------See my FQuick for mods.

The biggest thing is tuning. Without a solid tune there is no chance that the motor will survive. As long as there is no knock and the AFR is correct then it should hold up just fine.

A few notes though...you will need heavy valve springs. I suggest 130's cuz I was getting terrible valve float on the dyno with stock springs. Just a 50 shot lowered my 1/8 mile ET almost a full second and took my 60's down by 0.2 (food for thought). The boost will come on MUCH faster with the nitrous.

              Re: Nitrous and turbo

:) I'm doing the same and I'm really looking forward to it. However, I have 105 springs.. not to thread jack but with up to 12 psi and a 50 shot eh, is there any chance of valve float?

btw, even after installed a double roller and turbo and whatever the hell else.. when I received this nitrous kit and all the nice fittings and window switch and such I felt very intimidated. Just like back when I started with a cat-back install hah.
I think I'm just a little gun shy from the fueling problem I had not too long ago.

Hokie, the only advice I can give you towards any of this is.. read. There's a ton of information already on this board and I found pretty much any and all the information I needed to do a turbo install by myself just on this forum.
