  • Going with a TB spacer for my nitrous

I have been trying to get my dry setup to work but it is not going good went through a bottle aready. So I'm going back to a wet shot. I ordered a 1" tb spacer , so I can tap it to put my wet nozzel in. I couldn't get a hold of a thrasher one so I will just tap it on top and will go from there. I have my dynotune 250hp solenoids so it should flow good.

Why not just tap the TB right after the MAF?

You know thats how I had it last time work well, I already called and canceld my order. I found my tap. So I will be doing some work this weekend. I get confused sometimes and jump on ideas and start ordering stuff. I think it is from having the stroke. But I do know where to tap it. It is still marked on my old TB. So I know where to tap it. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I considered doing a TB spacer install for my wet setup, but the gains from the spacer are dubious and the install is a PITA (coolant spilage). Just drill, tap, and vacuum the shavings out. You dont even need to take the intake or TB off.

Been there, done that. Let me know if you need any help.

I think I remeber how I did it last time , I was out looking at it for a little bit. I think I have to change the wiring too I think, I will have to look at the wiring diagrams.

doesn't bbk make a throttle body for the 3.8's? I saw one on lmperformance but it was 1000cfm which is way too much

I'd go with a spacer. Tapping the t/b is a pain and it's too thin to get a good bite on the nozzle.

Re: Going with a TB spacer for my nitrous

I looked at the spacer it was 1" thick , but decided it was going to be too much off a pain drilling it and tapping it, so I got my return label from Summit. I also had mt old TB with it already tapped so I'm just going to swap TB's. The TB is thin but I use teflon tape on the threads and once it is in all the way it is really tight, I was going to put a nut on it on the inside but it is holding up fine in the hole. Mine is tapped right next to the maf sensor on the right side of the TB(drivers side). When it was working before I had really good results with it. I had a electrical issue that I couldn't find before where only my nitrous solenoid would only come on. After going back to the dry shot I found out it was just my arming switch causing the problem. So I'll switch out the TB's this week and put on the solenoid for the fuel and wiring. And then do some test runs with it.

Thanks, but it is already on it's way back to Summit, the spare TB I have has a good spot for the wet nozzel so I'm just swaping out TB's. Thanks for the offer though.
