i just looked at your profile and it says you have a manual tranny. do you have a window switch??? you really need one if your going to be spraying. just a heads up.

i thought that window switches were more for automatics, its not a drag car at all, so i dont really see the need for it, ill just turn it off before i switch gears

            you have that backwards ;)

you miss a gear while the nitrous is going....uh oh....

automatic, not as big of a deal. I sprayed thru the shifts with mine.

ya thats true i guess, but if i was road racing, and was shifting into gear at redline it would be around 3500 rpms or so in the new gear, so i should be fine, but i probably wouldnt try it either way lol, i just saw a thing on ls1tech and his window switch went bad and froze his whole engine, lots of people said that lots nitrous backfires were caused by something going wrong with the window switch

so i would rather just turn it off then count on the window switch for protection

What do you mean "turn it off?" Are you planning on flipping the arming switch off in between shifts??? That sounds like fun  The only nitrous mishaps i have ever heard of were improper tunes, lack of safety equipment (fpss, window switch) and research of what you are dealing with.

edit: You have a dry kit, backfires are a result of fuel puddling in the intake manifold and igniting. This only happens with a wet kit. When 97rs said "if you miss a gear...uh..oh.." that means if you are spraying and hit the rev limiter your car will be under an extreme lean condition (rev limiter shuts off the fuel supply to the engine) and blow up your motor not backfire.

well i was referring to back fire about the story i saw on ls1 tech, they were saying the window switches are known for failing and that happening, idk im not against it, i would just rather flip the arming switch myself then rely on something else i cannot control
