  • CASE relearn required if no code thrown?

    I installed my pcmforless tune over the weekend. The paper they sent with it say I should get a CASE relearn. According to info I have found online, the relearn is needed if a certain code comes up. While I did get an SES shortly after installing it was for an O2 sensor, not the crankshaft.

    So, if I don't get the crankshaft code do I still need a relearn?

      ^ Yes, should be plug and play. I have tuned other peoples PCM they sent to me from the east coast and I shipped it back tuned.

        I don't agree. it may run fine, but is not accurate. You should sync-up the pcm to the CS sender. My GM dealer did it for free - took 2 mins.

          You should do a case relearn any time you change the PCM or remove the damper.

            i am pretty overdue for a case relearn then lol i changed my damper about 40,000 miles ago =X

              As am I! LOL oh well, I guess I will be getting one as soon as i finish putting everything back together. I that even happens before it gets to cold out in the garage.

                Some get lucky and don't have any problems, some get an intermittent miss and some just plain run bad until they do the case learn.

                  well i have a problem that i have not beel able to track down and it comes and goes under de accel my car will spit and sputter and act crazy i am gonna hev the relearn done and see if that fixes it
