Has anyone else had a problem with these widebands? I've just gone through two wideband o2 sensors in less then 1 year...Im going to try recalibrating this one, but its throwing an error 8 code which usually means the sensor is damaged...the wideband is reading 20afr constant now, or 12.2ish afr...and it barely moves...I don't know what I can be doing that would destroy TWO O2 sensors in less then a year...its is installed right, and is installed in the factory location of the 2nd last O2 sensor...just before the Cat...

no ones used these? has anyone heard of any fixes atleast...or anything about these...Its hard to believe that I should be taking out an O2 sensor...my part throttle stays around 14...and my WOT sometimes hits 11.9...but I mean...turbo cars go richer then that...so this shouldnt be an issue....I tried a sensor recalibration today to no avail....Im gunna try a heater sensor recalibration when I get some free time...this is really frustrating though...these things arent cheap...

havent called the tech line...went on the board...Im getting a error 8 code...which means that usually the sensor is damaged...apparently alot of guys have this issue...havent come across a fix or a reason as to why yet, thats why I was curious if anyone on here heard anything...this is ****ty though....warranty doesnt cover the O2 sensors...and I mean, I had this new one on the car maybe since march/april....5 months...the other one I had on about the same amount of time and it went out to...expensive sensors to just crap out...

I have never seen an error code on mine, but I did smoke the controller box. Called their tech line and they had me fill out a return authorization form & sent it in. They charged me a $45 service fee and replaced it. If I remember correctly it was already out of warranty.

have you tried maybe makeing a heat sink for the sensor? maybe its getting too hot or sumthin. i just made one for mine yesterday. also the manuel says u should free air calibrate it every 3000 miles or so maybe it just needs that

the error code I get is with the 8 flashes on the led light...you guys wouldnt happen to know if AEM widebands would work with these controllers would you?

                    Re: LC-1 wideband issues

I've been running the LC-1 in my car for years and it has been dependable.
I did have a problem once with it but I called the tech line and they told me to do something to fix it and it worked. I don't recall what it was exactly.
I would give them a call.
