  • Questions about some pcm related things

I put a 180 degree thermo in my car and wanted to rig up a manual fan switch..my question is do the fans turn on automatically when the manual switch is off?? also, I was looking at buying a hypertech programmer to reprogram some things like fan temp turn on and was wondering the pros and cons for reprogramming that turn on temp? is it worth it? what temp should i set it on?

also, i have a B&M shift kit i installed, if i used the programmer to reprogram shift firmness, how would that work with a shift kit? bad, good,..i would think it would blow the tranny considering the shifts are already pretty firm.

With my SLP fan switch the low turns on if I don''t flip the switch , becuase I have forgoten about turning them on and my coolant temp was fine since they were on low since I have them flashed to come on at 170 degees. I run a 160 drilled thermo.

When it is hot out here it will still heat up , just like normal but just takes alittle longer, but it won't over heat or anything, this is with a 3 core ALM. rad. 2 "s thick. It got to about 215 degrees back when I first installed the radiator but the temp was 115 outside and was driving it pretty hard. But now that it is starting to cool down it will get to about 190-200 degrees. This is with high fans on. I was thinking about getting some better 12" cfm fans so it flows more air. Will see when next summer comes with the turbo on the car.

If you have hptuners might as well but no need if you have a manual fan switch but would be nice.
