  • 65LB injectors easy to tune!

I thought I was going to take longer to tune them for N/A , but it took me 2 tunes and it is already tuned for them. I guess when I had the 36LBGTP injectors (33LB). These 65LB or 60LB injectors was real easy. My max injector duty cycle is 36% LOL, can't wait for the turbo to go on. So I would say the 65LB and 36LB injectors are easier to tune than some other injectors like the 42.5 I have heard about(Blizzard)LOL. Just thought I would give you guys my input on them.

Would 65# be excessive on a N/A car?

There from ZZP, Motron injectors I think it was $330(I bought them a year ago) and if you have 36LB injectors you can send them in for a $60 off or credit, which is a great deal. I'm pretty sure thats how it goes. I kept my 36LB injectors, I had 2 sets, 1 set I sold and the othe set was just pulled from my car last Sun. by Meatyshells. Which he did my injectors, TR6's installed, 10.3mm wires and oil pan with my -10an return for the turbo. Next I will do my electric boost controller and methanol kit , then its turbo time!

Yea I get my nitrous in the mail tomorrow. Then the cam is going in and a few more other odds and ends. All this is going in during the summer.

Not if it is tuned, runs like stock, mine does have a VS cam and higher compression though. But a GT35R turbo will be going in so I think the duty cycle will be going up.

Just with bolt-ons and cam I was running 50-60% duty cycle with GTP injectors. I ran a 125-150 wet shot for awhile and then 125 dry shot also , was pretty fun.

                  Yeah.

There's no reason to do it unless you plan to go with a power adder
                  in the future.

I don't think they will work for a 01' these are Bosch style and I think you need Muti-Tec injectors.

                        ****in A man... ****in A..

Supposedly they're not even 42.5 but advertised as that since they were tested on grand am's which run a fuel rail at something like 58lbs. I forgot the exact details but yeah.. they're bastards when it comes to tuning since even the people who I bought them from don't seem to know much about them.. at least not when I asked. *cough* intense *cough*

I try to stay away from Intense since they sent me Diamond pistons with the wrist pins not even machined to fit in them.LOL My car was down for 3 more days and all they said was they would give me credit for the amount it took to overnight the pistons back to them. When you pay $700 for pistons I would think they would double check their products. And couldn't care less about the down time on my car. But the 65lb injectors rock, got the A/F and fuel trims tuned in perfect. 12.6-12.7 A/F and -2 fuel trims which I like. Again I just used the injector table to dial them in, takes me minutes to figure out and then I just scale them with the HPtuners smoothing section.

Hah, I had a similar issue with intense. I ordered Manley titanium valve spring retainers. They sent me 11.. and 1 other retainer that was obviously not even the same type and USED! They did correct the issue, no questions asked and they didn't ask me to send the old one back. They probably have a couple of stoner teens in the stock room filling and shipping the orders.

Psh, I betcha if I get my wideband working correctly I can have my fuel trims closer :-p
You have until spring to get a headstart!

I use the wideband to dial my idle and WOT+PE , so yes you would need a working wideband to tune them in correctly, once the idle and WOT is dialed in smothing out the injectors works for me to dial in the fuel trims, thee 36lbs injectors I did myself though the 65lb injectors worked right off the bat, I was amazed.
