Re: Hp tuner maf/ve tuning question.

How can we turn off decelleration enleanment, or decelerion fuel cut off. on our cars? because i can definately see where that is skewing some things

if anybody could send me 1) there tune for scanning VE AFR ERROR 2) there scan 3) adjusted tune and 4) scan with that tune.. that would be awesome... i'm trying to get an idea of how much change i should be seeing. that would be awesome.. sirspraysalot@gmail.com

so i tried out my tuning idea. put the car in pe at 0%tps and it did what i wanted it too. as far as keep the commanded afr the same... but unfortunately... looks like that wasn't the problem or atleast not the only one because, my tune is still going leaner....all i can think of at this point is testing my wb..which i'll do maybe tonight... gonna go to a carshow...*SIGH*

maybe it is working now. i definately need to keep working with it... for some reason it seems like its lean on start up...and even though its in open loop once i drive around. the afr seems to average out closer to where i want.

when i put it back in closed loop, im leaner tho. so i think i better test the wb

Re: Hp tuner maf/ve tuning question.

test the wideband...there is a seperate tab for startup fueling...Im not sure how to turn off deceleration enrichment...you can filter things through the settings button on the hp tuners scanner though...I used to filter it so that it didnt record any info unless I got xx amount of hits in that cell...that way it didnt skew the results as much. But that doesnt do much in the way of deceleration enleanment.

I'll get some scans for you as soon as Im done...this project is taking way too long...Ive been stuck 4-5 days all because of specialty bolts that stores dont carry...really starting to p*ss me off....

LETZRIDE. waiting on the little things suck!
i found a post on removing the deceleration enleanment.
"You can set the Deceleration Enleanment > Enable TPS Delta to 100 % or set the DE Modifier > Vacuum table to 0. This should disable DFCO. I decel smoothly while scanning so I don't disable the DFCO." -russ k
          cuz something really seems off....
question... when tuning/scanning maf for the first time. is you afr super ridiculously lean?

some information for you's guys. when i try to tune ve. with the maf disabled and closed loop enable at 284*. i have to manually turn off closed loop via the scanner. but when tuning the maf. (only differene being the maf is enabled) it will stay in open loop... weird
maf tuning is going pretty well btw, however i haven't done wot and haven't checked it in closed loop.

Re: Hp tuner maf/ve tuning question.

so I was able to finally get out for a scan today, and ya my afr was wayyy off from what the gauge was reading, sorry about that man. I have mine pretty close now I think.

One thing I cant figure out myself though is, since I switched to the AEM wideband, my afr error tables arent working anymore, and I can't seem to get this to work through trying to make a custom PID, did you ever figure this out?
