So I bust out the scanner today to see what's causing the check engine light and get a "P1154 HO2S Transition Time Ratio Bank 2 Sensor 1". Does this mean the passenger side header O2 sensor is bad?
I'm running catless so I thought i would see the P0420 which pops up every now and then, but not all the time strangely enough. Maybe once every couple of weeks then clears itself.
So the car ended up throwing a P1153 and P0154. I bought a new O2 sensor for the passenger side header. Couldn't get the original sensor out of the header. Tried a big *** breaker bar with a u-joint, impact wrench, etc.. It felt like i would break the header before id get it out of there when using the breaker bar.
I ended up going to a muffler shop im familiar with and had them weld a hole and an adapter into the pipe coming off the header (before the Y pipe). Put the O2 sensor in there for now. Any problem with this setup?
As long it is before the Y you should be fine, don't want air from the other header flowing through the other side, will throw off the reading for that side. Try and soak the other with PB overnight and see if that will help loosen it up. Good fast thinking though just having another bung welded in, nothing wrong with that.

It seems to be working fine so far. No more codes popping up and I've been driving around all day since my post, multiple start-stop and long drives. It's before the Y pipe, but I was concerned weather or not relocating it was ok or not.
It was the only idea I had on the spot. I guess I'm not the only one because the muffler shop guys didn't seem to think it was an odd request. It's a pretty sweet shop, they do all kind of custom work cheap. I'm having them make a h-pipe for me soon.
I'll try to soak the O2 sensor and see if it'll come out. It's like it welded itself in there. It really felt like the header or the thread would break before the thing would turn.
If you get it out you can plug the other O2 bung with a screw, so you don't have any leaks.
