So I have my Ve tune working pretty well...It commands exactly what I want it to command at any given point in time...but I am having trouble calibrating it at WOT.

I have been using the Ve table in hp tuners to find the error % and paste that into the VE table...my part throttle is looking pretty decent, but WOT is maxed out.

and by that I mean, I am at 200% on my ve table, and I can't bring that number any higher, and the car is running leaner at WOT...Ive managed to get it into the mid 13's at WOT, but I am commanding 12.5, and I cannot correct my ve table any further in those cells because I am already at 200...what can I do about this?

I wont be able to run a maf when I run more tbs...so I am working out the kinks now.

Playing with the PE table is shooting in the dark, there has to be a way to calibrate it properly.

at part throttle, I command 14.4 and it puts out 14.4 or very close, it needs some tweaking, but for WOT, I can not put more then 200% in the VE table, so I cant calibrate the damn thing...if I just start playin with the PE table and putting it richer then 12.5, Im just shooting in the dark hoping to hit my target AFR...

You're not shooting in the dark. You have a baseline of 12.5 which is too
lean, so richen it up. Welcome to the world of FI once the maf becomes
        useless at WOT.

The only other idea I have is to skew the WOT cell of the IFR table.

            IFR table?

I have my injector flow rate table set at 36#, which I know is off a little, but I should still come close...is there no way to put higher then 200% in the VE table? would going to a 2bar or 3 bar MAP allow me to do this?

v8's will take as high as 518%?

Each time I increased the % in the WOT table on the VE table, it seemed to get closer and closer to my target value...then I hit the wall at 200% as I was not allowed to put any higher....

                  Re: VE tuning questions/problems

200% is as high as you can go. Our pcm's won't recognize a 2
                  or 3 bar map.

You've got to work around it, that's just how it is. Lowering the
value in the WOT cell of the injector table will trick the pcm into
thinking it has a smaller injector so it'll pulse more. I'd take your
error (12.5/13.5?) and multiply it by the 90/100kpa, or whatever
                  your WOT value is.

I dont follow that last part...divide command by the actual, and multiply it by the what?

Multiply it by the WOT portion of the injector flow rate
                      table.

The 36LBers are around 33lbs on our fuel system , so mine were at around 32 right side to 34 left side then scaled with Hptuners using their scaling buttons. Then I just fined tuned it with PE, works great. Should even work with your setup once it is dialed in PE you should be fine.

Can we run a 2 bar Map, would that help any?

                            No.

And why would you need that? You don't have forced
                            induction.

I dunno, I'm trying to figure out how to put a higher value then 200% in the VE table, a buddy with an S/C Ls1 has a 3 bar map on his car and he can put up to 518% in his cells....

How the heck are the FI guys tuning once they max the MAF?
