Im curious as to two things..... 1 if I replace the IAC Valve do I have to unhook the battery for the computer to reset or can I just plug it up and go, and 2 If im installing at new TPS when im putting it on will I have to turn it slightly to the left for it to fit then turn it right until the holes line up... because thats how its going on and I hope that im not actually opening the throttle by putting it on like that... just making sure thats how its supposed to be installed. car is a 3.4L

Re: IAC Valve & TPS question
yea there will be some tension on the TPS when putting the sensor on. That is correct how you are doing it.
Shouldn't have to unhook the battery for the IAC valve. It doesn't hurt but shouldn't need to. But cars can be picky sometimes

Re: IAC Valve & TPS question
My idle is really tripping it kinda sits at 11/2 grand while im at stops and my car is in park or N. If I sit with it in D though it will slowly go back down to 1 but when I slightly touch the gas to go forward it jumps back up to 11/2 again. I mean this things is still pulling while im trying to stop because its sittin at 11/2 I changed the IAC now their saying it could be my TPS... Think that might be the cause?

Re: IAC Valve & TPS question
a vac leak can cause an issue like that as well as a sticking tb plate or IAC valve. TPS I doubt

Re: IAC Valve & TPS question
Thanks for responding so fast.... I was thinking about the whole leak thing but honestly I don't know where to look under the engine bay for leaks.... any ideas of where I should be looking or a place I should pay close attention to?

Re: IAC Valve & TPS question
vac lines crack over time and can cause a leak. Find someone by you with a smoke machine to hook up to the car and see if there are any leaks. Smoke machines work great.

Re: IAC Valve & TPS question
Check your TB cable and if your TB has a adjusting nut on the side you might need to lower it down. Never worked on a 3.4 Camaro before , just a 3.4 00' grand am.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
