Re: Getting dyno tune Monday. Need advice.
@Watazz,
Yea that's what I'm told. Even the guy doing the tune said at least it didn't dyno 160 :).
@ssms5411,
Yea I mean it's still better than stock I'd guess, considering the old log manifolds I had. I really don't feel the 5hp we picked up, but I'm pretty sure I felt the headers when they went in. With the headers it felt like my acceleration became a lot more linear, u can see the speedo ramp up pretty evenly. From the tune the biggest thing I felt was the trans tuning, you can really feel that, like night and day.
I'm not sure how much timing he ran, I could call and ask, the guy saves all the tunes. I really wasn't rushed out of there and dyno wise I was offered as many runs as it takes. It just felt like we hit a wall at the end because the last set of dyno runs was either worse or marginally better (0.1 of a hp.. stuff like that).\
He told me that he knows a shop to do the v6 cam install and all my other goodies for a reasonable price (ie. not the $1200+ i was quoted at some shops...) Now I just have to get all the parts in and then retune. Hopefully I make more power then. After that it's turbo time.
