i've recently got hp tuners and been playing around with it a little bit. any tips or hints to help tune my transmission? i just want a little quicker and firmer shifts, and maybe hold them out a little longer.

ssms will chime in here soon I'm sure; he knows a bit about this. But I changed my shift times from .05 or .5 or whatever they are to .2 or .02; I can't remember the proper decimal places....Anyways I just did that.

You can also up your line pressure to get firmer shifts, but I would say if you want to do that you should just install a shift kit instead.

mine set at 0's across the board, I have no delay...been running like that for 2 years now. I love it.

whats done to the transmission? is there a shift kit? cause if so, you do not want to bump up line pressure anymore then what it is...

Yep, set them to .2 across the board. I have the Transgo Kit in mine so I don't think I noticed it as much as a stock transmission might, but I did notice they were slightly quicker.

I wouldn't go and try to change too much , if you have a shift kit like transgo and vette servo, you can do your shift properties to .200 for normal and performance disable all your TQ Mang. , you can up your shift points on the RPM scale, I've tried doing it on MPH and have always had problems with it trying to shift too soon or it would go too late and hit the fuel cutoff. There are tunning write ups you can download and use to tune with. I have oe thats about 30 pages a guy wrote up , it was for V8's , Hptuners has alot of downloads for you to look at. I would have to go back and look at all the other properties to see which ones I changed, I think there might be a few I forgot about.
