Just got my Innovate motor-sports LC-1 wide band in and I wanted to ask the more experienced is it ok to just replace the passenger side narrowband on the manifold with the bosch wideband or do I need to have the bung welded in farther down the pipe around the Y?

weld another bung in down the the y pipe, but before the cat.

ok. So I know for next time what is the difference between at the manifold and at the Y. Is it the temp or the fact that its both pipes?

Im not 100% positive, but I dont think it would be good getting a reading from only half your engine. Maybe im wrong, because I just saw forsale thread for some kooks LTs and the guy stated each side had bungs for wideband 02sensorS. But I always thought it was best to put it in the y pipe where its collected into one.

makes sense I know MS1 dosent like using one side of my engine for mixtures only so it would make sense to be like that for the LC-1

just take the the stock o2 out right before the cat and install your WBO2 in the same spot. If you have hptuners just delete the code that appears

its a 94 that's why I went MS( megasquirt) and I only have 2 O2 sensors, both in the manifolds. Also the WB has 2 outputs so one will be left to replicate a narrowband and used to replace the passenger side if its ok to put it that close to the head otherwise I'm going to leave the 2 stock sensors and put this one at the tip of the y

ok I have it in but now it seems like once the car has warmed up while cruising it runs like carp. It bogs really bad and vibrates horribly. Is there a custom readout I need to have it showing on the simulated narrow band side?

I know nothing about megasquirt...but im really sure you should put your stock 02s back in. I hope someone can chime in, but im pretty sure you dont wanna put your wideband in the stock 02 location in the exhaust manifolds.

                    Re: New wideband

never remove the o2s in the mani they control the way the car runs.... the ones b4 and after the cat dont mean poop remove one of them and put the wideband in and you need it in the y pipe cause it gets a reading from both sides of the motor then. and exhaust manifolds are what come out of the block and collect the exhaust gases into one tube. the y pipe is what collects the two manifolds to 1 pipe then goes to the cat

The LC 1 should have 2 out puts. One you program to replace the narrow band O2 and wire it accordingly. The other output is for your AFR gauge or your tuning program.

I left the settings as they came from the factory just changed the fuel used over to gasoline from the custom. The stock PcM is on output 1 and that one is showing up as a narrow band and output2 being the wide band is connected to megasquirt

BWKmaro I only have 2 ports for O2 sensors there are NONE around the cat only the 2 in the manifolds. Also I understand why is would be beneficial to have it in the y pipe but I dont have the time or the $$ right now to get a bung welded into the exhaust.
