About two years ago my SES light came on, so I took it to the shop to get it diagnosed. I was told that my MAF sensor had gone bad due to the oil off the CAI I have on there. I let it go, because I didnt want to pay 120$ for a new one and I thought it wouldnt hurt it any. I am now trying to sell my car, so I bought one and put it in but my SES light wont go off and it is now having problems accelerating. In second and third gear it jumps at from 2000 to 3000 rpm if I hit it hard at all.
So my question is, did I screw something up by waiting too long to fix it, or will the computer "fix" it after driving with the new MAF?
Any help would be great.
