So I've been curious about Racelogic. I will be doing a big power adder soon and am interested in something to protect the car on cold mornings and unforeseen rain. I don't daily drive the car, but sometimes weather can be unexpected. Has anyone setup Racelogic for use with our cars? It should be possible seeing as it's designed for use on fuel injected cars with ABS.

It's a traction control system made by a British company. I've seen the name in racing quite often, but it's not a big brand. Their traction control product is supposed to be the best out there. It's wired up to control your injectors, spark and brakes via ABS. It's adjustable so you just turn a knob to set your level of wheel spin. On maximum traction you can go full throttle through turns without much drama. That would be really nice on cold mornings and in bad weather, no worries of losing the rear when coming out of a corner. I've seen some crazy rain launch videos with Racelogic, it seems impossible, but that thing just finds grip for you. It's used stock on Gumpert and Koenigsegg cars which is pretty impressive to me.

I've not been able to find much about installing the thing on an f-body. They seem like a somewhat universal kit, but there is bound to be some issue in installing it on our cars :-/.

isn't it just easier and less expensive to get to know your car and it's limits, and to just be careful in the rain and bad weather, and have your fun when it's nice and dry out?

To be honest I was really looking for a discussion on how their system may work with our cars. However I do agree with you. Knowing the limits is important. I do know my cars limits, but still have occasional "oh ****" moments when pushing those limits. It's nothing I can't handle, but I imagine it's going to get more challenging with more power. Everyone agrees that being careful in bad weather is important, however you may notice everyone continues to wreck in bad weather any way. I usually baby the car in bad weather, but even then I still have occasional hydroplaning at speeds as low as 35-45mph if the water is deep enough.
The other reason I want this system is performance. You have to remember that this isn't like our ASR system. Our ASR is likely to cause you to wreck by taking power out rapidly during a skid that requires opposet lock. Our ASR sucks and makes me want to punch babies every time I forget to turn it off. This system is much less intrusive, it doesn't just cut the power to zero and leave you disappointed. Racelogic is designed for racing which means it tries to maximize acceleration and speed while maintaining stability at your desired level of wheel slip. So you can still get the rear end out, it just wont let you spin out. It could make a f-body great at carving corners.sigpic

I've never wrecked in bad weather. It's always been nice weather when I've wrecked :D
But, that system sounds pretty cool. And you don't need no freaking instructions! If no one ever modded something on a car that someone else hasn't already done then we'd be stock. Go for it man!
The only thing I would say is make sure we have all the sensors and do-dads that it needs to do it's thing otherwise.. well ya know.
How much does this thing cost anyways?

Sounds good , I say go for it , I like to see new stuff tried out on our cars. I try to do as much as I can and post results so people will know what their getting into.
