I would definately like to try that, but nobody seems to carry it. Autozone/Checker don't have them at all, and from the dealership you have to buy the entire MAF assembly, which is $360.

Sound like they're looking at the wrong maf then. Your screen just attaches to the inside of the throttle body, not the MAF itself.

I'd say look around the salvage yards, you'll find them.

So the codes came back today. I rented a fuel pressure tester from Autozone.
        Here are my results:

Key on, engine off - 50 psi
Engine on, idle - 40 psi
Engine revved at 2500 rpm - 38 psi

This seems a bit low, can anyone confirm?

              Re: Code after new exhaust

I completely forgot about that page. Thanks GT.

              Hmmmm..... Should be 48-55 psi.
              Definately running a little low.

Guess it's time for a pump.
Damn..... I just replaced the sender last weekend!!!!!
              I knew I shouldv'e put a new pump in.

Change the fuel pressure regulator first.

                  Re: Code after new exhaust

So I just replaced the pump. I had one that I bought off ebay a while back cause I wanted the sender from it (it's from a WS6 and somebody on here said it's the exact same pump.) The guy didn't guarantee that the pump was good, just the sender. That's why I didn't put it in in the first place.
I decided to take a chance on it anyway. Now I have 65 psi at all RPMs!! Is that too much? Will it hurt anything?

Hopefully somebody can respond quickly, so I can put it back together.

                  Thanks in advance.

                    Re: Code after new exhaust

A side note from the above post:
The pump from the WS6 is definately not the same as the original. The actual size of the pump is larger in diameter by at least 1/4 inch. The assembly is also different to accomodate the larger pump. Even the electrical connections are different. I will post a picture of the two side by side later on. Everything on the outside is the same, though.

Also - My SES light has turned off, and I didn't even reset the computer.

                    * As promised - Here is the picture of the two pumps. The left pump being from the WS6.
And the right pump being the original. Both are Delco pumps (sorry, I didn't get the part numbers off them.)

bump..... Anybody know if 65 psi will be OK? Actually it has dropped and settled at 63 psi now.

Should make you run on the rich side but not really hurt anything. I Have the Racetronics LS1 pump in my car and the fuel pressure is fine. I would suspect your regulator is bad or the vacuum line is off of it.

                          Re: Code after new exhaust

So after driving the car for a few days, the P0171 and P0174 codes have not returned
since swapping the fuel pump. Now I am getting another code, though.
But this time, it's the code I was expecting after installing the new cat.
It is DTC P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency.

Guess I'm gonna have to get that O2 Sim after all.
