  • Cleaning MAF sensor

My 99 FB has stated putting out a P0102 code. I checked it at work with our scanner and see that it relates to the MAF sensor. Resetting the code only lasts for a little while before the SES light is back on again and the code is back. My mechanic suggested I try cleaning the sensor by spraying some contact cleaner air intake housing after the car has cooled down. I notice in some other threads on this that it's suggested the MAF sensor be removed and cleaned. Where is it located and how hard is it to remove?

buy a can of CRC mass air flow cleaner.. (autozone 7$) unbolt the 2 bolts that hold the MAF to the TB don't touch but hose the actual sensor down with the cleaner.. then your done.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do it tomorrow. At least it won't be 100 degrees at my house like it was today.
