    Re: Injectors??

Casper's Electronics. You might also need fuel injector spacers, depending on the size.

I used the injector adapter set, $30. Kinda rough on the knees getting all that done while leaning into the engine bay, but I was able to run LS6 injectors afterwards because I was almost maxing out my stockers.

Here is a few pics off my project page: LINK

Is it possible to use gtp injectors without tuning for a little while? I need to get to LEZRIDE's house which is about a 45 min. drive with the gtp's installed so he can tune them.

Really depends on the car. Mine did fine on LS6 injectors, others can't get their cars to run right with it untuned.

I wouldn't risk it, have him come to you.

So exactly which RC injectors did you get?

you don't want to see anything more than 80% on the injectors. Without knowing what your mods are it's tough to even give you an answer...225rwhp on a t5 car is much different than 225rwhp on a stalled A4...the first you can probably get away with 36# injectors, the second you'll be approaching your max with 36's maybe.

I tuned my 65lb injectors, just in the injector table, so I don't use PE at all.

I don't know how...your car will always be asking for 14.7 unless you are in PE

It works , I have it at 12.5 at WOT and 13's while crusing.

Why would you want it to stray from 14.6ish?

                          They're PN 2SL-310 which are 29.5 lb/hr@43.5-psi.

I also had a long talk with Jack at Racetronix and he convinced me to go to their new pump relay/harness assembly which upgrades the connector at the pump module from a Metripac 150 to a 280. He said that GM has had trouble with the 150 connectors failing due to current loads.

My guess would be for a little detonation protection if he's still running turbo especially with the az summer heat.

because at 14.6 and WOT your motor goes boom

29.5lbs is low? are the v8 injectors not 28lbs? If I am not mistaken GTP injectors (some of them are 33lbs) and should be quite reliable as they are GM

29.5 is about right for my engine, 270-hp on the motor and 320 with nitrous. If the engine was a V8 that'd be 360-hp and 425-hp.

The thing about injector sizing is you want no more than necessary to be about 80-85% duty cycle at WOT. Anything less gets hard to control during sustained operation at WOT. Anything more is hard to control at light throttle.

In my case the stock injectors were too little. My ECM was commanding 105% duty cycle in some situations, which, of course, is impossible so the engine starts to run lean no matter what you do witht he cal. On the other hand, If I believed the bigger is better principle which some apply to injectors and installed 65-lb units, the engine would run like crap at part throttle and, in a state where there's an emissions test, that's the kiss of death.
