Dom, I had a very witty remark for you, but I'll save it.

One of these days I'm gonna need to borrow your PCM Dom,.... I just want to look at it.

needless to say, i would definatly want this. period. no mabye about it. im waiting on the cam and heads due to this pcm problem. So once you can do it efficently, i will send you my pcm while im installing the cam and heads. However, i dont feel like testing this, i just want it once its been tested ;) ive done enough testing of things, and im threw, lol.

Junkyards.. You have to call around lots of junk yards.

Make sure its an automatic car smae year as yours.. camaro or firebird it doesnt matter..

DOUBLE CHECK with them that the door says GU6. (3.42 gear code)

magnus, since im not too sure, i'll ask. I can get my hands on a 99 pcm for ya. However, lets say you can program these, can you flash that one to be a 2000 pcm with the performance mods? im not sure, i mean from what id imagine, it would work, because if all it is, is rom's and then memory that you can flash, id imagine you could program a 99 to work with a 2000. Although i could jsut be talkin out of my rearend. So long story short, if you can do this to a 99 to work on my 2000, then i'll send ya one. =) whew.

You planning on keeping all programming in-house or thinking about making a program like lt1 edit, or both?

I personally am really only interested in an lt1 edit type program, heh.

I'm pretty sure that you can't just flash it and it magically becomes a 2000. I could be wrong here, but I would think there would be a problem since the 2000+ cars are drive by wire instead of cable driven throttle.

Anyway, this is all a scam by Keith, I don't trust him for one second, he's just trying to stay at the #1 spot for as long as possible by any means necessary, for shame Keith. JUST KIDDING

I could flash a 99 PCM with the 2000 Program, Not sure if it work or not though. But that doesn't make it a 2000 PCM, its still a 99.. The pinouts change and I don't plan on rewiring PCM's.

All this will be done In-House.. I will not be making cables and software.

One night wile I'm working
"Hmm.. this is Tom's PCM.. Lets see.. redline at 5000 RPM, WOT shift points at 15, 45 and 300MPH. Top Speed limiter set at 54mph. Timing advance max at 10.. and lets saturate his cyl's with fuel.. yea... " ;)

don't make me bust out my m@dd (read: nonexsistant) h@x0r skillz out on you.

I want to be able to program my car now, when I get a blower, after I do engine mods, whatever, without having to send off the pcm.

Plus some fine tuning at the track or in different weather, etc.

I guess I'll just have to start doing researching on programming my own software this summer.

Heh, one thing I am sure of is that I won't be anywhere near done with it this summer.

Edit: LOL, I just figured out Birdofprey & myself have the same first name... Small world I s'pose...
