I have a question. My 99 camaro has a one year ecm or so ive been told thats why none of the handheld programmers will work on 99s...does anyone know why? and is there anything other than mail order tunes or expensive laptops and software that will work?

The HPP3 is the only handheld programmer available, and besides being a piece of crap it doesn't work on 99s (as you already know). The only other option is custom tuning. If you don't want a mail order tune, then you're out of luck.Matt
