  • How much timing to pull??

i think i may have asked this before..but i searched and couldnt find it :( ..anyways..before on the 150 shot i was getting 11* - 12* of KR ..i have it down so im getting around 8* now..higher octane fuel and the pump wired in better..still usually running stock timing..but i have a few questions..assuming im running a 150 dry shot..

1: how much timing should i have to pull to get rid of 8* of KR on 93 octane?

2: same as 1 but with 107 octane race fuel

3: will pulling timing (although safer for the car of course) make me slower cuz im retarding the timing..or will it make me faster because althouh im pulling timing im getting rid of KR?

..i guess im just trying to run as fast as i can and as safe as i can with these dry shots..thanks guys!

Pull the amount of KR in the areas you are getting it and yes KR will slow you down.

Posted in the other thread, but you are definitely having problems if you are seeing that much knock. Have you logged N/A to see if you are getting knock without spraying?

I usually pulled timing across the board, but editing each cell is a better way to tune.

Get as many logs as you can both N/A and sprayed so you know EXACTLY where to edit.

Like I mentioned 1* of timing does not guarantee you are getting rid of 1* or Knock.

The knock is what is slowing you down, you may take a closer look at your WOT fuel pressure and your A/F ratios to see if you are running lean, because you are losing quite a bit of power with that much knock.
