Love the tune. I can finally tell how fast i'm going without having to do any math. Noticed my car pulls harder and smoother. Cooling fan comes on earlier to adjust for my 180 degree thermostat. Well worth the money. The only downfall was the wait...almost 2 weeks because i wanted them to tune one they had on the shelf...but it wasn't in stock and they had to wait for someone's core. Overall worth the money.

have you dynoed or run a 1/4 mile to see if the performance results are better

i ran a 1/4 however, it was my first time at the track, so my results sucked. and i have not dynoed. i am going to the track again on the 23'rd to it will be interesting to see how i run.

$350 i had it recalibrated for my 3.73 gears and i had them tune it so the fans would come on earlier to adjust for my thermostat along with their regular tune.

wow...how much better is that compared to HPP+ III tuner, which I got for 200$? - and in 4 days - and did the 93 Octane Tune, adjusted my shift points, adjusted my fans for the 180 thermo, adjusted my speedo for my 18" rim and can adjust for my 3.42s soon...and can return to stock tune and adjust shift firmness.

you have to realize that i've got a 1995 with a 3.4L. My choices for tuning are extremely limited. I went with what i could. I've heard good things about fastchip, my car was still drivable, so i didn't really mind the wait. So, to answer your question, HPP+ III tuner is by far better than what i got done with my car, however, HPP+ III wouldn't work on my car either. So the fastchip tuning is exactly what i was looking for and exceeded my expectations.

The Hypertech has been proven to not make any difference in performance One of the members of this board did a bunch of dyno tests and they were all the same.

Hypertech is only better in the price category, but the extra $150 for the added performance is well worth it.

The sad thing is that the HPP3 is not even close to what you got.

Edit: wtf...posted at the same time as 95Batmobile on the same thing.

I was thinking to buy hypertech, but what you said discourage me. Is this fastchip fit my 99' 3.8? Or Is it a better one for my year? How to get the fast chip?

If I help talk 1 person out of wasting their money on a HPP3, it's all been worth it.

If you want a tuner to do it yourself, get the DHP PowrTuner or HP Tuners.

If you want something simple yet good, get a custom tune from TSP.

(Not sure how many times I have typed those same words.)
