I might be miss lead through my searches for info.
Does the PCM default to speed density mode if the MAF sensor is inactive. I am having problems with my MAF system right now that I cannot figure out yet and the car runs better and seems to be quicker with the MAF unplugged.
My concern is I don't know if I am running lean or rich at idle, WOT, etc. Right now I have a crap A/F narrow band and it basically says I am always a little rich and right now I can not afford a wideband for awhile.
Can anyone tell me if it will hurt the car if the MAF is unplugged and whether I am most likely running rich or lean. I am running 8-9 PSI of boost.
