Yes, that is how it's done.
But remember, it takes experience and testing to make a good tune. Not a knock against Eric at all, but TSP's done dyno tests and has been doing it for a while.
BTW...when you browse their site, make sure you select V6 F-Body, not 98-02 F-Body. ;)
I am trying to see if Eric will do some basic tuning for right now at Wednesdays meet, but I want to know if he will do it for sure because 60 miles is a long drive for nothing. Eric will you please tell me before the meet, because I really want to do this. Thanks!

I know some stuff but believe me I still have alot to learn. I won't get into fuel and timing changes(which is where most your power gains will be), since I am still learning on that besides you shouldn't really get into it too much without actually working on the car itself, with a wideband.
besides if you did do it dmw319, unless I get a pcm to send you, then you send me yours or something, you will have to take yours out and send it to me.
but I can do the simple things like remove torque management, recalibrate speedo, fan temps maybe a few other things like shift points but I am still very inexperienced in that because well, I have a 5-speed.

He speaks the truth...
like I said I am sticking to simple stuff, so the gains won't be as much. Because I always thought it was rediculous what was involved in doing something simple like a gear change, speedo recalibration.

I can sort of probably do it... I have to go to work today, so I cna try and do some things on another bin then just copy them over to yours if I have time or just do everything try and do everything tonight.
Or... just download your bin, then do some stuff then load it another day.
I can probably just do it at the meet, not going to do to much anyways.

from my experience with tsp...i was told I'd have to send in my computer, they would tune it & send it back to me...id have to hit a dyno with an a/f printout...then send them back the computer...they would make the final a/f & timing tweeks & send it back again...nothing short of a fiasco imo...not a big fan of mail tuning otherwise id offer it myself ;)

You'll get more from hptuners, but you would get the most from having it tuned locally and by someone that is decent, with access to a wideband, dyno, and track.
I am just tweaking a few simple things to make it better, big focus is on gear change. That is the main reason I picked up hptuners... I had plans to upgrade to better gears, but a big thing from keeping me from doing it was the added cost of speedo recal. But worth it for the deal I got on hptuners.

if you were closer to the shore in NC i would've offered to tune you next week since I'll be in Virginia beach
