• PE mode at zero throttle

Hey, i was reading on hptuners board that phoenix64 tuned his ecm so that PE mode was enabled at 0% throttle, thus not even using the o2's at all.

I 'think' i've figured out how to do it, but wanted confirmation before I flash my ecm

Edit, Engine, Fuel Control, Power Enrich, PE Enable %TPS vs RPM

Click the HOT button.

Change the 'edit single v\alue' from 60% to 0%?

Note: I will continue to try to solve the o2 dilemna, but dern it i want to be able to drive above 3000 rpm sometime

Also if i do this... and run the scanner as normal... will the o2's continue to read and the injector pulse width be accurate still for the working o2's?

It's been suggested i put a custom PID to show that PE mode is coming on at anything above idle.

How do i do that? Searching hptuners forum isn't helping :(

Thanks

Well, rather than sit and figure out hte PID thing I made the adjustment to a bin file and uploaded it.

I noticed that the o2 voltage for the good bank(1) remained over 900 the whole run, but i didn't get any readings for injector pulse for bank 2(the bad o2 side) and the long term fuel trims were imbalanced as if in closed loop(bank 2 reading much higher).

Any ideas? I thought running in PE mode would even things out.

i email you a tune

your spark table's sucked !!!!!!!! those are now smooth and safe numbers

i added some fuel in the high rpm where the turbo is pushing air (its going to be rich but better then sorry) really need a WB to dial it in so keep it safe for now

remove speed limiter
rev limiter to 6200 ( you have it at 7000 on stock motor = no no)

remove all TQ managment

set MAF fail to 16000 HZ

set 2x the MAF 12ms flow rate

set pcm to recover from knock faster...

umm some other odds and ends.... i tried to hit any trouble areas we can dial it more later

i'm tired and going to bed !!!! have fun looking at your new tune

get some new scans and see how it works [Wink] [Big Grin]

as alway be safe i can adjust the tune in few minutes also please post the log file and not just the cvs file i like to use both to tune !!!!!
