  • can i get anything out of a tune?

    with my current mods?

I see it as kind of pointless to "tune" a car that doesnt have any forced induction or power adders.

If i were to get a 97pcm and get it tuned with hptuners, would i be looking at a waste of money, or a worthwhile gain in tq and hp numbers?

depends on how good the tune is & how much they charge you...you should be able to gain a solid 10-15hp with just a tune though.

tuning stuff does make things easier, but if you want my opinion. Hold off, your money is better spent elsewhere unless you got a deal on a used one.

You are looking at like $500 for hptuners + $75 for pcm, and $350-400 for a wideband setup.

all used to get a good tune.

DHP is a bit cheaper, I have one for sale for a 97. Its pretty helpful just to get rid of SES lights and get things running right, then you can do lots more map tuning.

well im a total noob to tuning. im gonna hold off and do some major research before any money comes out of my pocket. If anything i'll get the 97 pcm and send it into texas speed or whoever does it as a mail order tune.

              Where can i find a 97 pcm for +- 75 bucks?
