  • little test for you

    it'll help me out too..i switched from the 120 mph gauge face to a 150 mph one..now of course the speedometer reads too high..keeping the same cluster, what would i have to change using HP Tuners to correct this?..thanks!

    scan a log and watch what the PCM reads as your speed and see if that is right......

    the pulse's are the same from the trannys so it should not read different

    the RPM should be a good bit off though

      it reads different because although its the same scale as far as how far the needle can travel on the speedometer..but the numbers now go from 0 - 150 instead of from 0 - 120 ..now as i go faster the needle has to go slower than it used to..because now 80 mph is where 60 mph used to be..the rpms are actually fine because that face is the same as the old one..only mph is different..is pulses from the tranny what i would change?..or pulses from the speed sensor?..and what would i change it to?

        ahh i see you only change the face not the hole cluster

        60/80 = .75 or 75% or 80/60= 1.3333333

        so take your speedo number in HPTUNERS and mutply buy one of those and see if that fix's it.... it should the you can dial it in

        NOTE: the gauge will be right but the number in the PCM will be WAY WAY OFF NOW. jacking up your A4 shift points badly

          hmmm..i'll give it a try..almost better to leave it where it is i guess..i know how fast im going anyway because i know where the numbers were on the old gauge face

              yeah i got it to work..but you were right..it was either to 2 --&gt; 3 shift or the 3 --&gt; 4 shift..the shift point was so high it was off the tach and i hit the rev limiter!

                  This might work.

                  Set your PCM tune back to stock but put this btwn the PCM and speedometer and adjust:
