hey guys, i'll be getting my tune done by them soon and was just wondering about how they adjust for different octane. is there a real difference between having them set for 87 or 91. would it be a 1hp difference or a little more? just curious before i have to spend the extra $$ at the pump

they advance the timing more for the 91 or 93 octane tunes... give you more power like 3-5 hp for 91 and 5-8 hp for 93

        so the question is now:

is it really worth it to advance your timing a couple extra degrees and run the 91-93 octane (which is $) for a 3-8 more hp?

is it worth it in terms of MPG?

right, now is it worth the extra at the pump and the lower mpg for that increase....decisions decisions

i say yes 93 is ually ~20 cents more then 87 so every 5 gallons is $1, over 15 gallons if your empty is only like $3 more to fill up

i dont completely understand your logic

but, i do know that they probably put extra lubricants in the higher octane gases right?

plus, running a higher octane, you decrease the chance of KR/ predetonation as well as be able to advance timing
