The 98s still have the angled throttle body with drive by wire throttle control right? So, 98 PCM should just plug right into my 97 Camaro?

I don't think so, I believe the 97s had a certain pcm system (which took forever to figure out for the hp tuners programmers) therefore the 97-98 PCMs are not swappable.

yeah, no go on the 97 to 98 pcm. Are you talking about the HPP+ hand held programmer? Or the HPtuners program? If your talking about the HPtuner program, that program works for 97 pcms.

I might. I'm already planning on going to the track on the 12th so it just depends on how much money I have left for gas.

are you looking for basic stuff tuned (fans, tm, etc?) or looking for a full custom tune for your car?

I need to get the timing and the A/F ratio tuned right. Like I need to get the computer tuned for my 36# injectors so I can get rid of the FMU.
Also, I need to look at the MAF sensor readings because I am pretty sure that is pretty messed up from the 180degree bent pipe.

I did little research, you can do 96 to 97 and use HPT for 97 ,
97 and 98 have different pinouts . we use to have here onsite nice specs/pinouts for all years, couldnt find it anymore
