The 98s still have the angled throttle body with drive by wire throttle control right? So, 98 PCM should just plug right into my 97 Camaro?

Re: 97 PCM to 98 PCM conversion
I don't think so, I believe the 97s had a certain pcm system (which took forever to figure out for the hp tuners programmers) therefore the 97-98 PCMs are not swappable.

Re: 97 PCM to 98 PCM conversion
yeah, no go on the 97 to 98 pcm. Are you talking about the HPP+ hand held programmer? Or the HPtuners program? If your talking about the HPtuner program, that program works for 97 pcms.Black 1996 3.8 Firebird T5, SLP CAI, Pacesetter Ceramic Headers,160* t-stat, PCMforLess Tune, Flowmaster American Thunder catback, Car Sounds Cat, custom s-pipe, MSD coils and wires, NGK plugs, 3.42 posi rear, B&M Ripper, 245/50 BFG-G-force's

Re: 97 PCM to 98 PCM conversion
are you looking for basic stuff tuned (fans, tm, etc?) or looking for a full custom tune for your car?

Re: 97 PCM to 98 PCM conversion
I need to get the timing and the A/F ratio tuned right. Like I need to get the computer tuned for my 36# injectors so I can get rid of the FMU.
Also, I need to look at the MAF sensor readings because I am pretty sure that is pretty messed up from the 180degree bent pipe.1997 Camaro Y87. Turbo.
Pure Octane Racing
