I don't see why this is much of an issue? Every car is different and 20* of advance without knock is close to the normal. Most people see power up to 24-26* of advance and either start losing power OR see knock. I don't think that that indicates something wrong with the car only seeing 20* advance before knock.
Granted a good tune may give you a bit more advance to play with, but it's not far off now.

I agree on everything you said. But he is trying to make it a "good tune" and I think he will not have any more advance to play with if its a "good tune". I dunno, it just didnt make sense to me cause I'm sloooowwww6.
