  • reading codes with HP tuners

alright got a quick question about code reading through hp tuners. I have a code that comes up and after it, it says (immature) and sometimes (old)(immature). What does immature telling me? Does it mean that the code was triggered on accident and I shouldn't worry about it? I don't have any SES light on, but the code is seen when I am scanning using hp tuners while the car runs.

dont quote me on this as i do not know their setup...

i think that immature means that the code was triggered but does not warrant the need to show the ses light... yet.

when you edit the pcm you can change what codes will show a ses light or not and also how manytimes the event has to happen before it shows the light.

    hth

if i am wrong i am very sorry but this is my best guess

Do any of your posts relate to the topic? Or just you trying to find a way to promote DHP? Jeez dude you are worse then me and Zaino ;)

So you response is check out the super secret forum no one car view? For all we know you could be making it up.

You will get an answer to that question in 5 minutes at HPtuner forum, just don't ask int eh v6 section. Its a general HPT question, not v6 specific.

BUt like said above I am pretty sure thats the reason for (immature)

when I was starting to feel some misfires, I started scanning it came up, then I was lazy, waited a bit longer then misfires got worse and the light took off.

my first post did and you agreed with what I said....

I never told anyone to look at the forum....

and you are nuts for thinkin that everytime i post something that you have to post right behind to TRY to discredit what i say even though this time you are agreeing (sp?) with what I posted and complaining about it at the same time... does anything you ever say make any sense?

              just stay off my back

              BTW- zaino rocks!

I usually go out there a couple times a year. Should be hitting the track up here in the next couple weeks once my car gets back from the body shop.

I used to not get fast help from "them" in the v6 section - no names. But now I dont even really participate in that forum because I dont really learn anything new. They are usually always talking about different cars than what I have.

Re: reading codes with HP tuners

Well when you come out this year stop by my pit and say hi. I don't see to many v6's compete. I'm Usually there testing wednesdays or competing on saturdays. I recomend coming out for the Lane / edelbrock bracket racing series becaues you will get the best possible track prep and probably shave .2-.3 off your quarter mile time.

Im car #158 and depending on which one I use, I run a 1998 Black Y87 firebird, or a white 1989 Formula 350 firebird. On saturdays we use the designated pit area's and my last name Spencer is painted on the pavement in front of my pit.

I've been PCM tuning for a couple of years now and depending on what you already know I might be able to help. Never used the HP tuners software before though. I learned with brand X (aka DHP).
